Oil Change On A Low Mileage Bike Necessary?
I just bought a beautiful 2006 Fat Boy with only 1,500 miles on it. The bike was sold new in May of 2006 and had the 1K done a month later with Syn3 (synthetics). I know the records because I know the service manager at the selling dealer. So the original owner only rode it 500 miles after the 1K in 3 years because he bought a Ducati and stored the Fat Boy. My question is should I be concerned about changing the fluids, or wait until the 5K? Gut feeling is to go ahead and change the engine oil with Syn3 to be safe. Any input or ideas Thanks!
