I finally got a 16" on the front of the NT. I love it. Now I just need to find a minimalist fender for it. I tried HD, but they wanted $200 for an unprimed fender used for a Fat Bob!! Put the detachable rails on so I could pull the sissy bar and luggage rack when I didn't need it.
Let me know if you have any good fender ideas. Arlen Ness has a nice composite fender for the front. I will enjoy the fenderless look until it rains here in CA again!
Looks good! Isn't it funny allot the FL softail guys are swapping out 16's for 21's?
And allot of the train riders are swapping 21's for 16's?
Yet they all look sweet! LOL
I did the same thing to my 06 FXSTI and I ended up getting a fender from Sumax. Its a composite fiberglass...it is very strong...I think I paid about 130 for it...I like it so far.

You might want to try an aftermarket fat boy fender I used from
Custom Chrome: Custom Chrome part 78312 , (Steel Front Fender for FatBoy Models)
I have a fender I was originall going to use when I did my 17" swap...it's at a buds house, I'll see if I can get a pic to ya...I'd let it go cheap, it's not doing anything but sitting around.
Thanks for the comments, guys. I will check out those fenders. Don't know if the Fat Boy fender would look like too much. That's why I was looking at the Fat Bob style front fender. Drag Specialties has a Ness fender for $73.95. http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbook/11/192/5923350
I would prefer a steel fender, but that's pretty cheap!
