What do you guys think about this new fairing from Mephis Shades ? Its made fro molded Lucite and comes in black, uses the quick detach system so it comes off in a minute. Total cost for fairing, windshield, mounts, chrome trim is less than $ 400 from Phat Performance.
Been looking at it myself. The price is way below competition, and Memphis Shades has a good reputation. New product though...have not seen any evaluation. I'd like to know if the Batwing makes a significant difference is knocking down the wind versus a regular windshield. Hope someone posts up.

Thanks for posting the pics Yosemite. Is yours the Memphis wing with custom paint? Could you please email me the pics to get a better look at it. Do you have some pics looking at it from the riding side? How high is it in comparison to the tall, HD FB detach shield?

One thing to consider, if you haven't relocated your front turn signals to either a passing lamp assembly or the forks this faring probably wont work too good for you. If your signals are still on the handle bars, the faring hand guards will block your front signals. Just something to keep in mind.
Good info, thanks. Was it a Memphis Shades that you purchased? Did you also go for the Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing Lower Wind Deflectors? They attach to the lower edge of the Batwing to knock down the updraft from below.
I have only ridden about 50 miles with it , but I really like it compared to a windshield. I have the 5" windshield on it so there is wind in the face but no buffeting. With the 5" shield it measures about 15 inches above the headlight so it is 3 in lower than the HD Low Profile windshield. I am ordering a 9" shield to see how that is but I know that I like the look of the lower shield a lot better .
I also have the lowers for the fairing and tried them out but I dont think I will use them, the stock fairing has no wind coming up from under the fairing, adding the lower wings only stops some wind on the legs.

Your correct Chris, in the fitment guide it states you have to have the front t/s relocated .
