Default Serious Pain in the Neck

Ok guys I have a problem. Whenever I ride my 95 FLSTC for just a short amount of time like lets say maybe 80 or 90 miles. I get this severe pain in between my shoulder blades at the base of my neck. When I turn my head it hurts pretty bad. I constantly move my head looking everywhere I stretch my neck real good before I go and everything.

It really sucks. I have stock handlebars and I am curious if thats what is causing this severe pain. Any suggestions? Anyone else have the same issue?

I am planning a trip from Tennessee to Estes Park Colorado and I dont wanna be suckin wind the whole trip and have to stop and get a massage every 80 miles.

Loosen the bars up and move them toward you and try that position. Helps some people. I personally dont like the look of the stock bars pulled back toward you but if it gets rid of the pain, you'll know why.

i had the same problem with my stock fatboy bars and bought a set of beachbars and completely solved my problem. it angled my arms differently and helped tremedously.

I had the same problem with my Heritage and I rolled mine foreward so that they were in line with the forks. Problem solved and it looks better that way. And a couple of Alieves before the ride helps too.

I pushed my bars up as far as they would go. I may just change out the bars and put buckhorns on it.

I put buckhorns on my 99 Heritage and loved the feel. Very comfortable.

+1 on the change the positioning of the bars

you might need to change the bars completely in the worst case
but I found that repositioning usually helps

Default Reposition First

Would agree try to reposition the bars first and then may find a set that matches the stance that is most comfortable for you on my 04 Heritage the Carlini's provided a wider stance and pullback that was perfect for me ...
