Say... don't you have some trouble reaching the pegs on your bike? I bet you get stopped a lot by the cops wanting to check your age on your driver's license!

I'm going to try your idea out in time for BikeWeek at Daytona... so if you see some bags along side the rode on your way down, please pick them up for me!

Seriously, do you ride that pan head? If so, why did you pick the "softail" forum to participate in? <guffaw>

So, if you have the demountable spacers do you have any recollection of the length of the bolt you needed? The problem I'm going to have is that my bags have an exterior bracket at the rear... sooooo... they have a spacer of their own. When I take them off, I don't think that the acorn nuts will take up all of the threads that are left over and tighten down. I have a 3-1/2" chrome allen head bolt in the rear now... and there's probably a 3" in the front (inside the bag).

Thanks for the tip! I will let you know if I get it worked out.
