I have an 04 Springer. I love it, would only have springers. The only problem I have come up agance is adding a front end chopper kit. No body makes one.
I just picked up an 05 Springer classic also. Question I have is: Is there a way to louden the pipes without handing the local HD dealer $1000 for parts and labor. There has to be an alternative that is cheaper and won't decrease my scoots performance or power. A reply would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hey MaulER is your bike fuel injected? If so you can buy a power commander, program it with your computer, get the Arlen Ness air filter (same as Screaming Eagle K&N but cheaper) and pipes. It's pretty simple, just bolt on. 05 Deluxe bought all his stuff on Ebay and we put in on in a couple of hours.
I have a 01 FXSTS/I My first Springer I love the bike, The best advise I can give you is to go to a Harley shop and test ride one tell them that you are going to buy one but you have not rode a springer and that you want to make sure a springer is for you.
Then take it on a nice long ride on their ticket get what I mean Yes Yes..
And you won't be sorry you did (Welcome to the life on a Springer)
