I havent adjusted it since I bought it, and its kinda too bouncy when Im on it by myself, and kinda perfect with my wife on the back. What should I do? Maybe adjust it? I'm on my way to ge that overpriced harley wrench. Is it a well known fact that factory suspension sucks on these? or can it be set okay without changing the shock? Other FB owners? Thanks for your input.
The only adjustment you have is on the spring tension.
You should be able to tighten the spring up so it wont compress as easily. It should take the bounce out. With you wife on it it doesn't bounce because there is more pressure on the spring so it doesn't move down as much which also means it doesn't go back up as much.
I own a deuce and i notice when i drive a corner aggressively in a corner it will bounce up and down with the bumps in the road and kind of pull me out of the line i am running.
I want to tighten mine up for more aggressive cornering but i like the ride i have for normal cruzn. I will experiment on day.
Don't ride without your wife. Seriousely, I lowered my Fatty with a Ness rear kit and a HD front kit and mine rides much better now with and without a girl on back.
