Default Leak Question

I have an 06 night train and currently have it at my brother-in-laws place because I have to clean out my garage I went by his place today to start her up and noticed a liquid on the front of the primary cover. Not a huge amount but just a little to notice it. I give it the finger smell and it is gasoline. There was not a lot to be alarmed by and there was none on the floor. It did not cover the entire cover but it was on about a good 1/8 of the cover. I also noticed this when I started her up about three weeks ago but wiped it away because I thought maybe it was a little gasoline spillage from the last time I gassed up. Well it is back I never dropped the bike but did buy it used. The prior owner said that he never dropped the bike and there is not a scratch on the bike. It only has about 2,500 miles on it. Not sure what the problem could be. Please chime in with whatever information you might have.

Thanx!

Is there gas around the fuel line quick disconnect on the bottom of the left side of your tank? Maybe it's not seated properly or the o-ring inside that went bad.

Thanx for the reply Stevevfd. My buddy and I are gonna take a look at it tomorrow and we suspect maybe the o-ring went bad due to the bad weather. We think the cold weather may have shrunk the o-ring. We will also track the fuel line in the morning.

If you bike is EFI the fuel line breaks really easy. I would remove it and check it really well. I would also check the crossover line, I assume you tank has one.
I would bet your fuel line, plastic end, is cracked near the intake, that's where mine broke.
