Default Fuel leak at line

My buddy has a '98 UC and last week he noticed a fuel leak under the left side of the tank. There are 2 fuel lines on his that have a swivel that leaks. How is the best way to fix this?

I Just had the same thing it is from the ethenol in the gas, The only way to fix it is to go to Harley and buy the tank side of the connector. They are 29.00 a piece.

And you will also need the Cork gasket for under the Tank cover on top.

If it's a FI bike, which according to your description I think it is. Then the connection is a quick connect fitting with the female end screwing into the fuel tank with an oring seal. The male portion goes to the injectors and is the easiest to replace. Typically the leak comes from the female part b/c of vibration from the engine and it wears out the seal. It's not a bad fix but you have to remove the pump assy from the tank and go in from the top to connect the fuel hose to the pump.
At least that was my experience with the brides 02 RK. hope this helps.

You are correct Aclass. I also did the research for the orings but they are a pain to change and find...so i just bought the female parts from Harley and it was about 1-2 hours to get everything back together but if you open up the tank you might as well change the fuel filter.

i had this happen on a 1998 road king fuel injection.
leak was on left side right under the tank at fuel connection.
since bike is a bit older i went ahead and
changed both fuel lines myself and some o-rings by the injectors.
hardest part was having to drain gas from the fuel tank and the removal of the little C type ring clamps by the injectors..did not have correct pliers but got it done..found pliers at napa auto for about $5 after..each fuel line was about $45-50 dollars
