Default Bar change

I have a Crossbones and thought I would hate the 12" apes. But have come to love them. I use a shortened compact windshield also. After a trip from NW Arkansas to Pensacola last summer I was still good to go. Wrist angle has as much as anything to do with your comfort level. When you place your hands to the bars are the grips inline with your natural wrist angle? They do make chrone 12"ers for springers. Check out the large online parts houses. And if you want to use stock type cables that shouldn't be a problem. I picked up a narrow black beach bar fot the Bones . The first day they were on the MoCo's site they listed the cables as for the bike with stock bars. Stockers are to long. By the time I got online to check on it they had corrected the part numbers needed. Which run upwards of $350.00......FOR CABLES!!!!!. I'll hacksaw the bars in half before I spend that much for cables to mount a $70.00 set of bars. And of course their literature doesn't help cross reference stock type cables. I could care less about braided cables on this bike. Now on one of my crotch rockets.....yes. But why would I put those on a "retro".

Oh and I've tried a badlander seat (lower/unsprung) with these bars and it changed the wrist angle enough I didn't care for it. I love the sprung seat. Of course if it had pegs rather than floor boards.....It might have worked, after rotating the bars rearward a bit.

I`ve never been a fan of beach bars, they look really uncomfortable to me. There are lots of places online to buy springer bars. There are also risers that can adapt your scoot to run regular bars, I think they`re around $50.

Beautiful bike
