What have you guys used to lower your Deluxe's? I've been researching it and just about every kit I see says it will not lower 05-07 Deluxe's (I have an 07). I've been leaning toward the Arlen Ness kit that comes with parts for front and rear w/ shorter kickstand. But not sure if the rear parts have the same issue? Don't want to go with new shocks if I don't have to. And definately don't want to go with an air system ($$$$$$). Any help here would be apreciated (part no. if possible).
the Ness kit will work fine. your shocks are already lower than the other Softails by an inch that is the only difference. any adjustable lowering kit for an 07 softail will lower your bike.
DON'T buy the HD lowered shocks for a softail. Those are already STOCK on the Deluxe.
The reason they all say not for deluxe, is that the MOCO does not want you to lower it any further, Probably due to some sense of ride quality or some such. BUT you can do it, I did it, it works, and it wasn't difficult. You will need a press to take the shock apart to switch out the studs, but otherwise a pretty easy job.
*** SInce the book says NOT for Deluxe, I was told that MOCO tech's won'tperform this for you. I don't know about where you are, but I was told at my dealer that they cold not do it.
I might consider air ride if I didn't have a mile long list of other parts I want. Just can't justify spending over a grand for that, when I can lower it for a few hundred. Leaves a lot left over for other parts.

I understand. It has taken me many years to get my bike to where it is.
