OK my dealer ask me if i wanted to store my bike there for the winter .will fog it & run a pig tail. i said Not. so i fog it & ran a pig tail. went back to do some shopping . & the part guy told me new news not to fog the rocker it covers the sensors & will give the bike false readings . so my bike may give me trouble in the spring on start up. still waiting for more info form them. has anyone heard of this or have any info on this. it would have bin nice if they let me know before winter .no warning at all form Harley or the shop on this.

I'm from Georgia and never heard of fog and a pig tail, they don't have anything to do with a Rocker down here. Please explain. Pig tail for a battery tender?
I think he means fog the cylinders and run a pigtail for a tender.....If I were you, I would try to start it RIGHT NOW and see if you have any problems. You did say you fogged it......right. I personally would not be able to sleep at night hearing that news. But that is just my opinion.
It should burn off in the spring when you start it. It will smoke for a while and then you should be fine. Its done all the time with boats around here. The sensors are so close to the exaust ports it will pass quickly. I don't do mine but it is a personal choice. If its warm and dry where it is stored it should be fine without fogging it
I put my bike on an atv stand. I run a good amount of seafoam (stabilizer) in the fuel. I make sure that I've ran enough to get through all of the intake system. I take off the seat. ( I don't like a permanent pigtail in the battery) and put on a battery tender. I go out into the garage about once a week or so and fire it up right on the stand and let it run for a few minutes with the garage door open enough for fresh air. I shut it off and do the same for the entire time it's too cold to ride. We have a few warm days in the winter that are warm enough to ride so I don't like the idea of storing the bike all winter. I've had no problems thus far.
its what they do up here for storing bikes for the long winter. spray fogger into the carb let it run throw the engine .it coats everything to prevent rusting.
Up north we fog 2 stroke motors not 4 stroke.........Never heard of anyone fogging a car motor if its going to sit over winter hehehehe.........We do fog IO'S(Mercuriser and Volvo's) at the shop....but then again they are boat motors.......
