I seriously doubt there are all that many of us who are either willing to or truly capable of pushing either bike to its true limits.
With a 2.5" drop in the rear and 1" on the front the limits are fairly easy to find on my night train. That sumbitch will scrape the ground and shoot sparks without even really trying!

The Dyna fat Bob I rode was at stock ride height and even when pushed pretty hard (Rental bike hard) I didnt scrape it or get that I'm gonna go wide and crash feeling I get on my train......

I did and do get that feeling on every softail I have ever ridden slammed or not. The softail frame and suspension set-up just werent designed with any type of aggressive cornering in mind IMO. They like to float nice and smooth through long sweepers. They do not like to get hard on the brakes and try and hammer through an apex where the fat Bob I rode struck me as being much more suited to do so.

Hence my conclusion that a Dyna and Softail anything are truly in a different class as far as cornering capabilities go.

Suppose if that was important to me I would be on a sporty or even a asian sport bike.....Not important to me at all. I'm happy with long sweepers and slowing down on offramps!!

I was in a very similar spot last year and was all set to buy a FatBob until that January day when they intro’ed the Bones. I even tried to talk myself into the cheaper bike to no avail. Had to have the Springer front end and the rest as they say is history. One thing to note is I have always wanted a Springer as far back as I can remember.
