hooker troublemakers - no tune

Just wondering if there is anyone out there running them without a tune? My bike is a 08 fat boy, bone stock. The only mod on it right now is the troublemakers. My plan is to get a stage 1 intake and pcv. But, for now am I safe riding around with the pipes and no tune. Just wanting to be safe.

someone help us out i'd like to know also, by the way are you having any kind of backfiring at any rpm on let off? ANd did you get the chrome or black. If you got the chrome ones are they blueing and if so how far down the pipe?

Is it popping, coughing or sneezing? Take it for a ride, get on it, immediately shut it down and pull a plug, see if it is excessively white. You may be ok as long as you do not have a high flow air cleaner.

even stock should get a fuel management as they bikes are too lean due to epa. the bike will run cooler and you will be cooler and the bike will last longer

i have the arlen ness stage 1 and the hooker troublemakers on mine...no popping or backfiring at all...i'm still gonna get it retuned though

Get the air/fuel ratio adjusted and you won't have to ask this question: it will be solved! Nothing worse than a brand new set of pipes turning purple...
