Well mine is an '09, and it was super-easy to remove with the wheel on! GENTLY press in on the edges of the fender as you are sliding it out the FRONT of the bike so you don't scratch the paint. (the edges of the fender will want to rub on the forks) I had a buddy of mine help me put it back on after I washed it in my bath tub. I gently pressed in on the sides while lining up the bolt holes, and my friend put the bolts in while I held the fender.

No,... you dont have to remove the wheel. JR RYder was correct in his instructions. I removed my fender when I polished my front forks and didnt remove the front wheel.

No, No! You MUST do it by the book!

ALL HAIL THE BOOK!! THE BOOK WILL SET US FREE!!
The book is my friend....I will always obey the book. The book is all knowing.

Right...Like the humanoid behind the parts counter knows what he's talking about. Or is it they're not always allowed to give "correct" answers. Oops ....I'm ranting again.
