Look at the Perse 3D tail-light for the sweetest looking tail-light I have ever seen (IMO), and it also covers the 3 exposed holes. Not sure if your Softail has the same rear fender as the FatBoy, but have a look anyway.

It's not my bike, it's a friend of mine that I'm doing the work on. He's telling me what he wants, but I really can't find anything that fits his needs. He wants it to mount to the axle nut, but from what I can see the better choices are the swingarm mount or the pass. footpeg mount.
