I was mostly just curious because I noticed a sport bike that was sitting on the back of a pickup in front of me the other day.

Thats the name of the game. Bikes, cars, boats or whatever. Those parts would last if you drove your toys easy but what fun is that? Launching hard and wheelies eat chains & sprockets. They also cause big smiles and a rush.

I think it was 79 or 80 Harley switched to belt drive - we were cussin up a storm; "How low could Harley go - cheap bast**ds", who in their right minds would buy a bike with a belt drive - Harley is done for.. Now it's the other way around - what nut case would want to put a chain on a Harley! My how times have changed...Heheh!
