Default Metzeler 880 Front Tire ?

Needing to change my Deuce front tire and lacking the funds to go to a 3.00-3.50 wide rim as I really want to , I'll be sticking with my stock 2.15 width rim for awhile . I see at least 3 different size tires from Metzeler to consider , H90 , 90/90 and 80/90 , which of these are wider and also would fit under my stock fender .

Having real issues with the stock Dunlop wandering around our crappy CA freeways that are always in need of major repair and grooved . From what I've read here these Metzelers should be a cure ?

Thanks , Dan

My Metz is noticeably different from the stick Dunlop. The Metzeler must have some silicone or something in the compound to make it more sticky. It squeaks on the garage floor like a tennis shoe. Sticks very well on the street too, but I dont' know about wear yet.

Put on 90/90 when I changer the rear to 200 metz....Like they said feels like a better gripping tire...changing both smoothed out my ride

i went with the 90/90 also. still running stock in the rear. i have about 50 miles on them so far. i did notice it sits taller then the stocker. i feel better that the stock ones are gone.

90 is wider than 80. The first number is the width of the tire, the second the height of the sidewall, and the third the diameter rim that it will fit on. So 90/90 is what you need. If you swap both tires you'll notice an even greater difference. When I swapped to Metzlers originally I was shocked at how smooth the bike rode. It was night and day.

Last week swapped front tire on my 2008 NT, went from stock Dunlop MH90 to the Metz 90-90-21 , gives it just that little more beefy look!!!

And no prob for the fender !!!

Would like to go to a 120-70-21, even beefier, but than you need to go to at least 2.75 rims, if I'm correct!!

I had ME880's on my sportster, it made a world of difference. Never liked dunlops. I'll be going to metzlers as soon as I wear the rear out on this new bike.
