Default Chrome Front Fork Cover Removal?

The chrome panel that sits behind the headlight on a FLSTN Has to be removed. Installing handlebars and risers. Service manual does not refer how it comes off. I assume detach windshield is to be removed. followed next by detach hardware removal. Lower auxillary lamps? It makes it look like headlight can stay.and the sides to around that back can be removed?

been awhile since I had mine off. I think you just remove the windsheild Loosen the 2 screws on the side(also ones that hold windsheild bracket.) and I think 1 screw in back and they come off.

Yes that is all you need to do. The cover panels are slotted so you don't even need to remove the screws all the way.
