hahaha............you guys the pvc dosent drop it any.............the 2 or ....1 inch springs is wut lowers it............if you bought the drop in kit its just upgraded springs if you bought the lowering kit it comes with 2 xtra springs that you add to lower it 1 lowers it 1 in and add 2 and it lowers it 2 inches .......the pvc you cut makes it stiffer or softer.................
Not sure what kit you're talking about having 2 extra springs, but it's not the Progressive drop-in kit. Their kit has one main spring, a compensation spring, and the spacer, that you cut to length.
Not sure what you're talking about, because that is the full component list.
like i said if you bought the progressive drop in kit its not a lowering kit its a upgraded spring from stock if you bought the cruise controle kit via lowering kit you add 2 springs to lower it ..................2in and 1 spring to lower it 1 in plus you get the big spring with the pvc spacer

How is the drop-in not a lowering kit? Is Progressive wrong in telling us the drop-in kit lowers the bike?
I didn't even touch my dampners, or even take the forks apart with the Progressive kit. All I did was install the springs, and cut the spacers. Want to tell me that it didn't lower my bike?
Before:
Yeah, I bought the LA Choppers kit. Came with another damper spring and a different progressive top spring, washers, and spacer. For one inch, take the factory damper spring off and put the one on from the kit. For two inches lower, put the one from the kit on with the factory one. Drop in the new progressive spring up top, washer, cut to length spacer for preload, washer, and put it back together. The drop in kit, however, achieves the same result, they just go about it in a different manner. From what I thought, the spacer was only for preload, but I have no experience with the drop in kit. I was wondering if cutting my spacer shorter would drop mine more.
thats cuz you cut the spacers too much wuts makes it softer so the weight of the bike sinks the front end.......progressive has shorter dampners for it (so does arlen) BUT if you go with just shorter dampners its too spongy...........to lower the bike you have to bring up the sliders via shorter dampners OR put an xtra spring or two above the dmpner raising the stock dampner.............hard to explain unless you had it all apart before

+1 but you dont wanna drop it too much you will throw off your trail and get high speed wobbles id go 2 in max......i went 1 just cuz i like the look of the front end higher but i lowered the back 2 so i went with 1 for the front

Yeah, I put all the pieces from my kit in, but didn't get the full 2" I was looking for, at least it didn't seem like I did. I can tell a difference, but not what I expected. Made me think I could adjust it with the spacer, but then I thought that the spacer was for preload only. I am lost really, I guess if you were to soften the preload, it would in turn make it lower though. I may have to take it back apart and play with it.
