Default drop in lowerin kit?

i just bought the progressive drop in kit for my 05 fxst. i was wondering what you guys are using for spacer length? i cut them to 4.25 inches and it really dosnt look like it did anything. thanks

wut do you mean by look like it did anything.............dont you mean feel like it did anything.............the pvc spacer you cut is for the dampning the more you cut the softer the dampning

My 05' with the 2" version installed.

Its low enough to justify a shorter kickstand as it is almost straight up and down!!

He is right, the spacer is just for adjusting the preload on the springs. I don't recall what I cut mine at though. I put in a 2" drop as well and depending on how you look at it, it doesn't look like it did anything either. If I go back and compare pictures of the before and after though, I can tell the difference. I believe I ended up with about 1.5 inches, which was fine since I only lowered the *** about 1.5 inches also.

i cut my spacers 2"...have to watch where i park, because of kickstand issue..will order shorter one next week.

in the instructions it says that the shorter the pvc the lower it will sit. i do notice a difference in the ride it is much stiffer but i think its a good thing! i am going to take it back apart anc cut another .25 off and see what it does

i cut 1/2 and i think it droped 2'' or so bike sits flat.

On my Deluxe the spacers are cut to 2.5", and it dropped it about 2".

I put mine in as they were, just what the directions said. I think it's like 1.5" down. I'm going to ride it like that for a while and see how it is.

hahaha............you guys the pvc dosent drop it any.............the 2 or ....1 inch springs is wut lowers it............if you bought the drop in kit its just upgraded springs if you bought the lowering kit it comes with 2 xtra springs that you add to lower it 1 lowers it 1 in and add 2 and it lowers it 2 inches .......the pvc you cut makes it stiffer or softer.................
