Default Narrow Beach Bars

Heh.....

I want to install the Narrow Beach Bar from HD - part # 56857-05 on my 08 Fatboy. They recommend a new riser - #56916-07 for this install.

Can I use the original riser, as both the Beach Bar and the stock bar are both 1.25"

Also, will the original cables be the right length or will they need to be changed?

Thanks for any info.......

I used to have a set of narrow BB's on my RKC and found that because they mounted lower than the OEM bars, the standard length throttle cable was tight and would rub on the tank during low-speel, right-hand turns. Over time, the throttle line rubbed a spot in the clear-coat. In my opinion, I would consider adding a minimum of 2-inches of new cable to prevent that from happening on your bike.

I'm all over this one.... just went through it all. I'll be right back with EVERYTHING you need. Gonna go find some links. YES, you can use the stock risers, but your signals MAY hit your tank if they are still mounted on the bars...... I even have pics to prove.... Be right back..... JR

EDIT: Okay, I'm back... I have several postings on this thread, so please read them all, and see pics of another guys FatBoy with stock risers, and explanations associated. It's pretty thorough. I think I might even make mention of the amount of excess wire you are left with in each scenarion.... I don't really remember...... Respond here or PM me and I'll be happy to help...... JR

I have the narrow beach bars on my 08boy. The stock cables are fine with no rubbing. Dont know about the risers because I'm using the fat risers. Just looking you could most likely use your stock risers but you may have to move your turn signals. I have pictures in mygarage if you want to take a look.
