Same here, I've had mine (Rush 1.75) for a while now, and they sound awesome. I think they sound better than much more expensive exhaust systems. The fact that they are not that expensive is the icing on the cake.
I have a set of 2.0 on my Deuce. I love the sound. I have about 3,000 on them and they still sound great. They are great until I can afford a full system. I did not have to tune at all but a friend with a 08 Wide glide did.
Great for the price.

If you stick with the 1.75's you don't have to remap; go to the 2"s and you will. I have the 2"s on my deluxe; my husband has the 1.75's on his Road King. No appreciable difference in sound really. Mine might be just a touch louder. Certainly great sound for the money. They do get a bit louder once they heat up from cold in IMHO opinion, but I haven't noticed any real change in the sound over time and I have several thousand miles on mine now.
Would love to get a set of the Vance & Hines big radius pipes or the Hooker trouble makers just because I think the curves of those piples look great on the Deluxe and they have good sound but that's whole exhaust and will cost me four times as much as the Rush Slipons which do sound great. I also love Rhineharts. They sound great and now make slipons but I haven't seen a set on a Deluxe yet. Just my .02.
I just installed the Rush Slash Out's with 2 inch baffels on my 09 fatboy last Saturday. Very happy with sound and performance. I did not remap, and it is my understanding the 07 >09's will self adjust for both air and pipes. Will be adding a K& N ands ixeds in a couple weeks.
Could be. Mine is an '06 and tried them without remapping at first and got some serious decel popping so got the PCIII and custom map from FuelMoto and a Ness Big Sucker air cleaner installed, and then a knowledgeable friend further tweaked the map to eliminate the popping.
I received a catalog in the mail late last year and saw Rush is now making full exhaust systems like the BSS and BSL. Iv heard OCt1949's in person and they sound sweet for slip ons, honestly as good as the BSL's i have, Id be curious to hear their full systems
Nice! I do have to agree with some that my mufflers are definitely louder now. I have ~3k miles on them. My sig has the sound when I first got them and I have the rain sock on the heavy breather. I'm going to make another sound clip this weekend for sure...
Put 2" Slash Down on my Deluxe. Sounds so much better than stock; was just what I was looking for. I also put a high flow K & N filter with a Stage 1 download. This will make it sound the way I want, however, (as I understand it), won't correct for the leaned-out heating problem with the newer models. I have an '07, and it is still cold here in the Northeast, so will have to wake till the summer months to see if the heating problem has changed any.
