Just installed the Rush 1.75" Slip-On Mufflers on my 09 FLSTC yesterday and I will NEVER go back to stock! I couldn't stop riding yesterday because they sound SO GREAT! Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and tips! I am very happy
Did you change anything else like the intake and programmer or was it just a muffler swap. I am really wanting a different note for mine but the duals I want will have to wait for $$$$, but I can do a muffler swap.
I just changed the mufflers out...I am happy with the engine performance for now, but wanted a better sound. If I had the money and time, I would change out the whole exhaust, but I like the idea of going back to stock with ease if I absolutely had to...The mufflers I got were already broken in and dynoed according to the seller and the bike sounds absoulutely bada$$!

I have a pair of Rush 1.75" slip ons with less than 2000 miles on them that I would let go very inexpensively. They are off my 07 Heritage.
I upgraded to V&H big shots, Arlen Ness Big Sucker and a TTS MasterTune.
How do you like the TTS? I've been reading back through all the msg's and even though it appears you really can't go wrong with any of the Tuners the TTS allows you to tweak all you want.

That's a new selling point, never heard of broken in and dynoed mufflers.!
is that the same as used or just a new idea???
how broken in are they, I had to repack mine after 14k as they were getting a lot louder. But I do love them also.....2" baffles

The TTS is great. I have to be careful to not over tweak as I am still learning.

Better than new
Like my 1.75s also. Only mod is the nightrider ieds which gave the pipes a better sound. Deeper and more throaty.
Also they will get louder as they age and at some point may start to sound really obnoxious and crappy. Pull the baffles and you will probably find the baffle batting has disintegrated. Easy to replace and if you contact Rush they will likely send it to you free. They did for me.

2008 Heritage Classic: His
2008 Deluxe: Hers
They had about 3000 miles on them and sound great...I have heard from other members on the forum that there is a definite break-in period on the Rush mufflers for optimum sound (2000-4000 miles), but that could be someone's opinion. I don't know about the whole dyno thing, but I like the way they sound and haven't had any problems yet...guess that's all that counts. Oct1949, when you say re-pack, you mean install new baffles, right? I was wondering how long they will go before that needs to occur and how to tell when they need to be changed out...
installed the 2" rush slipons, AC and PCV on wife's Heritage....sounds bad*ss! I wanted to get the same sound from my RK so called fuelmoto where I bought everything.....he said they will all get louder with time after riding, but on the RK since it's a 3.5" pipe it will have a different sound than the heritage..... but yes there is a break in time for the packing.
