Default Master cylinder ?

I recently put on new chubby bars and a new Magnum brand brake hose.
I cant get the front brakes to bleed correctly, and hold pressure.
Anyone have this problem? Tips?
Any help will be great. Flood run is in two weeks and need to ride.

If you are not using a mity-vac or similar, it will take longer using the hand lever. Try juuu-ssss-ttt cracking the bleeder valve open. Watch you don't drain the resovoir too much or you'll be starting over. If it will not bleed out or the lever feels mushy or takes full pressure to lock the pads, I would suspect a leak somewheres.

I'm only bleeding it using the lever. I'll try the vac system tonight. The hose is'nt leaking anywhere.

I picked a vaccum bleeder up from sears, it made the job pretty quick and easy and I haven't had the problem you describe.

I bought the mity vac at Harbor Freight for only 30 bucks, way cheaper than any other place I found. Job finished in less than 10 minutes.

I changed to an aftermarket chrome cylinder and had the same issue.

I found out I was shearing off a small piece of the o ring when I punped the lever to the grip.

Replaced the o ring put a clamp on the grip temroarily to limit travel and bled the brakes problem solved.
