Default Rocker Handlebar Question

I have a question for those that are smarter than me - I am trying to help a buddy setup his 2008 Rocker C with new handlebars & turn signal relocation and I need to know if this can be done:

He would like to go with the 1.5 inch Big Buffalo Bar "Stick" ( http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbook/12/57/7703303 ) and use the shortest risers that will work with that straight bar and the sigs moved to the fork.

So my question is how much rise is needed and will this work? Has anyone done, seen or have pics of something similar?

Any advice is appreciated...

Before you invest in parts mock it up. Get some of the dims and put it together with pvc pipe or similar. You could take an hour or so an remove the handlebars and risers and sit your creation up there to see how well it works.

Alternatively some one right after me will post with that exact set up and just tell you the answer...

here's my 9" rise carlini's...basically the same bar style...I put an additional 1.5" riser on mine cause i did a 2" tank lift...but if you aren't lifting the tank any I imagine a 7" rise would work just fine...and I didn't have to change out the wires or the cables

Thanks Tom, I wonder about a straight riser with no additional pullback? Don't know if that would create a need for less or for more rise.

yeah, 7 inches is plenty, it doesn't matter if the risers are straight or bent.
