Has anyone put dual exhaust on a FXST/C? Just wondering if its possible and what issues it causes. Post some pics if you got em! Thanks

Same question here. All i can find from the companies are kits that start at 1995 and my FLSTC is a '94. The only thing I found is getting a header pipe from Paughco and putting on different mufflers.

If memory serves right you should be able to use the Screaming Eagle crossovers, which use the springer setup, at the very least. I do not see what the V&H true duals would not work, but not sure on that.

Can't imagine why this should cause any problems other than possibly mounting issues. My advise is ask dealers and indies whether they have done this and how it would work.

Default True Duals

I was just up at the local Indy getting a tire on the wifes Heritage and one of the techs was putting Samson True duals on a guys Deluxe. I held the small pipe on the exhaust side while he slid the other in to it from the other side. Looking at it, was a pretty clean install. He was putting fishtails on it also.

Don't know if this helps but my 2c.

I started looking around, and I have run into the same problem. They only make dual exhaust for 95-up. I have a 94 FXSTC. Am I SOL or has anyone found pipes for 94 and lower? Ed, those V&H look good!

I believe the top of the primary chaincase is a different shape on earlier bikes. I have Samson true duals on my 1990 dresser, but the clearance of the left pipe to the chaincase is minimal. I trimmed the heatshield to stop it vibrating against the casting.

So later pipes may fit if you are prepared to do battle with the pipe off the rear cylinder.
