Does anyone have a good source for fender struts? I'm looking for plain jane curved struts that would work with an 09 Crossbones and the Roland Sands Vintage Fender. I have the fender on the way...but can't see paying $650-800 for chromed billet struts when all I want is plain steel ones that I can paint.
Take the strut covers off of your stock Bones and the inner strut is curved. They should work just fine. Take the inner strut off and get them powder coated and it will look custom. Damn you got that fender for $210!! F*CK ME that's a steal.

Thanks man...had no idea. I've found a few other plain steel makers of curved struts too, just in case. Yeah...I couldn't really pass that fender up for the price.
I'm thinking you can just use your stock inner struts... short and curved...
You better mock every thing up before you paint...
Whiteguy (forum name) installed the fender and struts on his XB and had some fitment issues...
I think RSD had to make a few changes to either the fender or the struts to make it work....

You might want to PM him.... and ask about it...
Thanks. I'm going to go with that as a fall back. I just ordered a set of these:
I would recommend another wiring harness $35 at the dealer. Makes the wiring fool proof and if you ever want to go back to stock then it is plug and play. Post some pics when you get it on.

Yeah...I think that's the smartest way. Will definitely post some pics when it's done.
