Default How to replace Fuel Gauge Lighting ??

I popped my fuel gauge out today but I cant seem to figure out how to get to the bulb. There are three cables going into it but I dont see how it comes apart. I want to replace my bulb with a red one.

OK!!, I royally fu#ked up my fuel gauge today. In an attempt to open it up to look at the bulbs. I could not find a tab or an indication as to how to open it up. I started prying the side and nothing. I finally got frustrated enough and just cracked the casing open.
I dont think there is a way to actually open this particular model gauge without damaging it somewhere along the line.
Also this type of gauge uses small LED bulbs and not the type that have the rubber condom type covers on them. They are the soldered type. My camara is down tonight, but im gonna put up some pics tomorrow to give others a visual as to what to expect if they attempt to try this mod.
I was thinking of just going with the flush type cap and gauge but Ive heard so many horror stories about the damn LED's going bad and other things... I really like the new black ones but they dont make them for the 05's ...
