I've been riding for 3 years with 'loud' pipes. ( V&H Straightshots wth. quiet baffles)
Although my pipes are not particularly loud, I thought I'd ask my neighbours if the sound of my bike ever bothered them.
One neighbour said; "I've never noticed."
My other neighbour said; "I've heard it a couple of times...sounds really good."
Lucky me.
How 'bout you? Ever get any 'feedback' from your neighbours?
the lady across the street from me has an ultra classic trike and her boyfriend has an ultra and a softail so they have never said a word. and there neighbour beside them has a son that comes over a lot and has an 80's classic so they never say a word either.
Na, most of my neighbors are elderly so they really don't hear to well.. Lucky me.
I usually leave the house around 6 in the morning. No complaints yet.
My pipes are stock, yes I said it, and the neighbors don't complain. I do however roll it into the street when I start it to be courteous as the neighbor behind my house works nights. My last neighbor complained to me once but she was old and a busy body who complained about everything and I did roll it into the street then. She even complained about me strating my vehicle with the remote start saying it was loud to her.
no complaints here yet, but I just put my Rush slip-ons on Monday and haven't had a chance to start it up first thing in the morning yet due to the weather. We'll see what happens after tomorrow morning
