The reason the trade is such a great price is its still the "HOT" selling bike, re-sell is no problem for the dealer,,,,it will be out the door the next day you drop it off.
The SG is a great bike, but there a dime a dozen and not moving on the floor like the bones, The SG will not give you the same money back if you decide to go back to the bones, thats for sure!
Whatever the real reason your thinking of trading up, its what you like....And what works for your style of riding ....no other opinion really matters.
Well guys....I might be leaving the softail family. I'm looking at possibly trading in on an 09 streetglide. My salesman told me they will give me $15000 for my bike. What do you guys think?
Make sure you really know what you want BEFORE pulling the trigger. Before buying a SG, do yourself a favor and test a Roadglide. You can make the RG look even more badass than a SG, and if you want to use it for a long haul they are a better touring bike as well.
Hey man u can do what u want with your money. It really comes down to you, but tale this for what it is worth, I have wanted a harley all my life was a toss up between the Street glide and the Crossbones. Went to Hawaii on vacation and rented a street glide cause i was leaning towards that more, road more than 200miles on it all around to coast. I really didn't like it, it was too big to move, too big to back up a small hill. The roads were all coastal and windy and i really didn't like the way it handled two up on a windy coast line, blowing all over the place. I bought a crossbones two weeks ago and love it. it rides better, handles better and looks freaking awsome.
Doesn't matter what we think. You are the one who's gotta ride it. Like some others have said, depends on the kind of riding you wanna do. I too like my Bones, but I won't be going on any milti-state rides. Not that ya can't do it on a Bones, but 2 up and storage, you may need to go the other way.
08 fatboy all the way............no windshield and about 15,000 miles a year! Ain't no substitute. Nothing like the wind in your face and the handling of the ol fatty. I have done 1000 miles in a day, a little wind whipped an hammered by the bugs but wouldn't trade it for a touring bike fer nuttin!!!
