Not hard at all. I took the tips off the bike and then drilled out the plates inside them with a 1" wood boring bit. The bit was shot after I was done with the two pipes but I didn't care.

By the way, this still leaves 3 big problems...

1. Still not nearly loud enough
2. Still not deep enough
3. Still has the crapy looking stock pipes
