Default Which tire?

So I am trying to decide on what rear tire to go with. I am putting a heartland 180 kit on my bike with DNA 60 spokes front and back. I have a newer Dunlop (about 3k) on the front, and do not want to buy new front and rear tires. I have already spent to much $ on this project. I do not like mix matching brands of tires and am probably going to go with Dunlop D407 180/55/18. I would prefer to go with ME880's or Avon's. Should I put one of these or stick with the Dunlop for now?

choice is yours, but I have also read not to mix brands. some mounters won't even do it.

I have an 08 Fatboy and have had trouble with the front shimmying on decel...The tires were D407 and the front tire cupped in the first 1000 miles I just put Metzlers on it front and back and will never have another Dunlop...bike handles so much better...quieter and just has a better ride...I would spend the money and replace the front tire...

Maybe this will help, I have the D407 on front and rear of my 07 FXST. I get about 10,000 miles on the rear and 20,000 miles on the front.
