I bought the Heartland side mount (horizontal) It folds and that has many options...plus it's legal. I also have the E-Z Rocker kit. Feel like I ride a real Chopper but no pain and an incredible ride. LOVE THE ROCKER!!!

I have the Roto-Plate from Top-Down Products. My son and I recently went on a 2300 mile ride, which included the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway. We rode the tail of the Dragon three times and on the last run went from 20 - 50 mph with no scraping of the plate, but plenty scraping of the the pegs. I would also add that the mount (axle mount) held up very well over the 2300 miles with no problems.

Looking through some earlier posts I went to that "roto plate" website and ordered the "axle kit" for about $24.....then to radiantz for the horizontal plate $38 and then finally to custom chrome for an "L" bracket $8. Those three components took me about 4 months to gather together...Im just to **** about the location. Still waiting for the L bracket and the axle kit but Im mounting it where I want so its worth the wait.
I also cut my rear fender (after scoring one for 100 on ebay) but screwed the pooch and cut it to far back ......I was irritated and almost threw it away but instead gave it to a local machine / repair to get it welded back together and let them cut it this time right behind the blinkers and drill holes for the stock blinkers. I pick it up tomorrow and all I need now is paint. Thanks to this forum for all the answers.....I took advice from 10 peeps who already did the recon on this.

well i didn't just go on thats 4sure
i wanted it low so i had to take off upper/lower belt guard
then put some extra rubber wedged in there to get it
to fit nice n tight, the back part bends w/ swing arm
loc tite and away we go so far no probs, been on highway bout 80 mph,
bumps turns no prob,i will probably keep it until roto plate makes a swingarm mount
that is some really quality stuff+ mine is illegally mounted in my state
oh well ill wait till the tickets pile up LOL

As we finalize the Rocker Swing Arm Mount, I'm concerned about clearance in turns. Given that the swing arm strut slings down low, I'm thinking clearance is got to be an issue. I notice the side mount in your pic looks low...low...low. Do you drag it in the turns? Our design looks like it will provide much more clearance, I just want to get calibrated.

not so far, i will measure that 2morrow, im sure it probably could rub if your doing a
low leaning turn but w/ these apes im turnin slow to get used to em
dennis i do like yer stuff,is design going to be square or a choice of bent plate too?
mine is adjustable as well but if i tilt it any further back i might start getting stopped
by polize.so far they have left me alone
