Default Hardwired my GPS

Today I hardwired my power for my GPS (Garmin nuvi 760) and installed my GPS mount. I wired the power to my ignition and tuck the plug down into a hole under the handlebars when I'm not using the GPS.
Still looks nice and clean.

Here's some pics.

Nicely done. Hope to do the same when the Garmin Zumo 660 is released.

you did a good job....it looks clean.

When you say you 'hardwired' it...Does that mean there is no fuse on the line?
A fuse is not needed?

Hardwired means that I don't have to plug the power cord into a cig lighter or anything else. I cut off the cig lighter plug-in from the power cord, soldered a fuse holder onto the power cord, then attached the other end of the fuse holder directly to the ignition switch.
The power cord is hidden when not in use and tucked safely away.

When I pop my cradle with the GPS onto the mount, I only have to plug the power cord into the cradle.

Where did you get that handle bar mount? It's a very clean install.

I accidentally found this mount on eBay. I had been looking forever for a nice clean mount. It cannot be found doing a normal search.

How secure does it feel? I have a Nuvi 660 myself and saw that bracket, was just afraid of it vibrating off the ball mount running down a backroad or something. Looks great, nice job on the install!
