looking for help with conversion, I have 01 fxst and installed 180 metz on 18/4.5 rim no problem there..my problem is the pully is rubbing on frame, looking for assistance..
Not trying to be a ******** but putting a 180 on a rim and trying to bolt it on your bike isnt a conversion...Its an attempt!!
A conversion is a pre-planned mechanical change.
You will be needing some stuff and will hafta do a little homework prior to slapping that fatass 180 in place of yer' stock 130.
Start by taking the 180 back and getting yerself 150 or a 160 metzler ME880. That 180 aint gonna work without way more surgery than the link below. I would do a 160 Metzler and call it a day unless you have some Heartland kit money floating around?
