have to take exception to what you said \, my softail will leave most dyna riders in it's dust but I also believe that 80% of leaving others in the dust is up to the rider. they are all good/great bikes . ride what you want I have for about 50+ years now and still have a few years left I hope. only 68 now..

If your softail will leave most Dyna riders in the "Dust" than a few things must have taken place.

#1. There were no corners involved?

#2. You ran across some very ungifted Dyna pilots?

#3. You ran in a straight line and you have a built motor?

#4. You are a very gifted Motorcycle rider?

Putting a Softail Standard up against a Dyna Glide standard on any curved road will 9 times out of 10 result in said Dyna rider leaving the Softail guy far behind as he motors away through the turns on a bike that was designed with some semblance of balance and handling rather than just looks as our Softails are.

I own a sporty and a softail. Hasnt this girls bike idea been beaten to death? Every time i get off the sporty and get on the softail I have to re-adjust my riding since it really does handle like a barge compared to the sporty. AND every time I get off the softail and onto the sporty I have to re-adjust my back since the hardtail sporty cant compare with the all day comfort of the softail.

I have no desire for a true sportbike, to me I have the best of both worlds and if anyone on a softail says something to me on the sporty i will offer to line them up and go, havn't found anyone on a dyna or softail that can keep up with an 88inch sporty yet.

new to this site and i wanted to ask because here in north carolina thats how it is. my uncle lives in new york city and his bike gang/club thinks the same way also. down in daytona florida in my other uncles bike gang/club they also feel dyna's are for chicks. It's nothing personal for me, i just wanted to know where did this idea come from

Almost sounds like another trolling question.

You can cruise with both. The Dyna is much more nimble than a Softail, just depends on what kind of riding you do.

Whats a troll?

If I wasnt such a big fat bastard I would happily rock a sporty!!!

In regards to the nimble feeling of a Dyna compared to a softail it isnt even a fair comparision. Softail's will be grinding whilst the dyna is still leaning into the corner. Same with the sporty. I do prefer me some long laid out feet stretched out comfy *** uber cruiser Softail though!!

Not to be a dick but your friends and family don't know ****. Stop listening to them. Cause didn't you know floorboards are for the weak?

This is a troll question just to **** certain riders.

BTW Jesse James on a Dyna running from the cops:

In Texas with the 19th Group I know a few on Dyna's.

I just got back from Iraq and spent time with the 5th Group at the RPC, and some of them ride Dyna's.

Dyna is fine by all I know and ride with.

Now a Sportster....

I've owned a Harley from every family - Sportster ( 90 - 1200 ) - Dyna ( 00 Lowrider ) - Softail ( 08 Rocker C ) and Touring ( 99 Road King Classic ) - Love them all. Who cares what others ( usually new riders or old guys who think you ain't chit unless you ride what they ride ) say or think. I had my Dyna for 9 years and over 30K miles and it was a great bike. Handled way better than my Softail. If I had to choose I would have gone with the Dyna. Just MO.
