question about dyna's
I put over 20k on my Dyna with a built 95 ci. Only reason I bought the Ultra cause the wife wanted the comforts of XM, back rest and to carry all her make up and chit when she rides. But when I pull the Dyna out I know it's gonna be a scream of a ride. My .02 p.s. Retired 1SG in ATL.
Fellow SF guy here (18 years in SF). A guy in my company has a new Fatbob that I drool over everytime I see it. I just got the used Night Train because I have always liked them and I got a helluva deal on it.
Greetings,
After having 3 Softails and now on my first Dyna, It'll be hard for me to get back on a Softail unless it's a bagger many years down the road. Like others have said...faster, a lot more fun on the twisties, and still plenty of room for someone on the back. A ladies bike? Might be considering I've gotten more women with this one in the short amount of time than I did a year and a half with the Rocker C!

Theyll call it a girl's bike right up till theyre watching your taillight grow smaller as you pull away from them. Dyna's are faster lighter and more nimble than softtails. I like em both, but I ride a Dyna.
I AGREE WITH ALL ABOVE. YOU GET WHAT YOU LIKE. all harleys are built for both men and women. as a matter of fact i see some women that ride bigger bikes than their men, and for good reason, they are bigger than their men. no harley is strictly a man or womens bike. and i highly recommend looking at the new wide glide like jason628 has....thats one sweet ride....good luck
Well Boys........ We have one of each....... I have a Dyna, Hubby has a Heritage and Daughter has a Heritage. Like other's have posted, each has it's own place. Overall, the Heritage is an excellent bike for around town AND on those long haul. Dyna's are nimble and quick for around town, but not so comfy for longer distance riding, and no bags come with it. Dyna's tend to vibrate more than the STC, because of the way their engines are mounted. First time my Hubby rode my Dyna Low Rider, it snapped his head back.....he literally wasn't ready for the way it took off compared to his Softail. We both had ours dyno tuned and my max Torque ( mine 86.1......his 83.3) beats him out. He beats me in the max Power range though.....78.7 to 74.2.
Anyway, like others have said, buy what you can AFFORD, what satifies your NEEDS & what suits your STYLE....in that order. I'll bet every one of your friends started out on something else before they had their current rides.... and no one called them sissy.

We thought "GOING GREEN" meant we were suppose to buy Green colored Harley's. Oops. Actually I AM half Irish ( Grandpa was an immigrant the Emerald Isle) and Green is our favorite color. Hubby ordered his in 2005. I pre-ordered mine in Dec 2006 before I learned to ride in 2007. Daughter always loved her dad's color & model of bike and by chance, found one for sale on Ebay in Oct 2008.
The guy she bought it from NEVER road it. Actually won it in a raffle and didn't know how to ride. Kept it in Dealer storage for 2 years and when he lost his job, had to sell it. It had the original factory (10) miles on the Odometer. The tank was autographed by Green Bay Packer QB's Starr and Favre and our Daughter lives in Green Bay. It was a specially produced Heritage. One of a kind.
She got it for a heck of a price.
So, you cant miss us when we ride down the road......that's for sure!!!
