I scraped my floorboards for the first time a couple of days ago. It was in front of a bunch of other riders and for some reason it made me all happy and proud! LOL! I know that sounds silly, but I was waiting to be able to scrape 'em. Badge of honor for sure for me.

Funny. When I scrape, it initially scares the hell outta me, I lift my foot up and all!! But when I finish the turn, it feels good to realize that the bike CAN go that low and I'm still on it.

So the floorboards are supposed to fold up? I've drug mine plenty of times on my 2007 FatBoy, and they've never once folded up. I just figured they were rigid mounted. I'll check them again when I get home and see if I can loosen them up some.

Both of my boards have sharp edges on them if I not careful when cleaning the bike they will cut my hand open .If your foot is pushing down hard on the board most cases it will not fold up .As for the sparks the board itself makes for lots of sparks at night .
