Scraping floorboards - no give
Finally finished installing Alloy-Art's Touring XR Stabilizer. Went for a test ride, brought it up to 90 on the Atlantic City Expressway, slight headwind, bike was steady as a rock! Then Looked for some curves, unbelievable how much confidence this stabilizer exudes! Extremely stable in the twisties! Very happy! only trade off is a little more vibration when going through the gears.
OK, here's the real reason for this post.
The bike leans so good that I am now scraping the floor boards, even making a turn at 20 mph! Well, I just realized that my floorboards don't retract. Never realized it before 'cause I wasn't cornering as hard prior to the Touring XR.
First bike I ever noticed with no retractable boards. Is there an adapter or something that Icould install to make them flip up?
Isn't it dangerous for them to be stationary?

You are not scraping the footboards themselves, you are scraping the bracket that supports them. These brackets can be raised by undoing 2 bolts on the right side and 3 bolts on the left side. The adjustment is about .5 - .75".

Ok here's a pic of said nut I spoke of. I'll tell you that I've scraped my floor boards enough to know that they do flip up when you hear that scraping sound in a tight turn. My foot raising up is the sign.

Bryan, thanks for the pic. I'm going out to the garage to check it out.
