I had my engine flashing at me today, and my T-Max is set to make the engine light go off at 350F. Again, that's HEAD temp, NOT oil temp. My engine has actually been running a lot cooler, overall, since I installed the T-Max, so I didn't worry. I knew that as soon as I got out of the traffic jam I was in and back up to normal speed, it would stop; and it did. Getting up to a head temp of 375 or above is not an unusual occurance for these V-twins, when they come off the showroom floor set so lean.
Hello i was sitting in traffic today for around 30 minuets or so and my yellow engine light started to slowly flash.
The bike was extremely hot at the time the light came on and i am assuming it was an overheating problem.
I should mention my deluxe is a 2009 model and has had a thundermax and RS air filter installed along with V&H slip ons.
When get home i checked out the owners manual but all it mentioned was if you see the light come on any time apart from at startup please contact the dealer.
I guess my question is was this an overheating issue.?
Has anyone else had this problem.?
Could it be an issue with the stage 1 that i have had done.?
Its the weekend here so i will have to contact the dealer next week.
Looks like a quiet weekend.
Um, like 30 minutes in traffic with an air cooled engine and the light comes on. Damn those idiot lights
