I have found this bike for sale...its a 01 with 13,600 miles, one owner, red and black, carb no fuel injection, removeable windshield and hardbags, upgraded bars, extra chrome for 10k.......do you think thats a good deal????
I've got an 04 Deuce and wouldn't trade it for any other the looks and ride are great and it's a clean looking scoot. That's a clean looking scoot FL DEUCE nice job
Have had my 03 Deuce for 3 days now. Got about 500 miles on her. She has the V&H Big Radius pipes, and i pulled the baffles and added a bolt and some washers to provide some back pressure but give me a little more volume and deeper tone. I love the bike. I've heard it's Harley's attempt at a factory chopper, and in my opinion they did a great job. The guy I purchased mine from babied it and waxed it regularly, Looks like it came off the showroom floor, and less than 11,000 miles. He put 3 degree trees and longer fork tubes to give it even more of a chopper look, and it handles great with this arrangement. LED turn signals built in to the trees really cleans up the front end - no turn signals hanging off. It's got T-bars on it now, and I may change them - I want something that comes back another 2-3 inches, so will probably go with a combination of pullback risers and bars so I have some room to adjust. Also going to drop the rear another inch or two - I'm a lightweight and never carry a passenger.
You'll love the Deuce! I've always liked the looks of them. I believe they come from HD with more rake than any other bike they make.
I'm riding an '07 and lovin' every mile! The looks, the power, the ride, (and NOW, the sound!).... It has the slightly different look, and really turns heads. I put a Sundowner seat on ours so my other half would be comfortable and WANT to go with me on the weekend rides. It isn't as comfortable (to me) as the original, but will be by next season! (she already likes it!)The fellows at Mean City Cycles know exactly what to do with it and so next spring, I will have MY seat, and Mama will have hers, but they'll both be wearing the same covering. Aren't technology and know-how great?
Thinking of having our bike name embroidered in the backrest. Would you fellow Deucers know why? "THE EXCEPTION"
Catch ya all again, but until I do.... be well! And have a great holiday season. (and may your presents all have bars and shields on them!)
One other thing... any fellow Deucers find a handle bar set-up that moves the grips back a little (1 1/2-2") maybe something that even works with the stock cables? It sure would be nice to have that, without raising them up and changing the profile of the bike.....
Open to suggestions and pics are even better! Maybe even other stock bars with a tad more pullback?????
They're in the catalog & in chrome. I have them on mine. Put them on the same time as the Mustang seat.

I have an '02 Duece and absolutely love it. 80,000 miles worth.
Like others have said, I'll have mine forever.
I did get a new Ultra a few months ago so the Duece won't get as many miles in the future, but it's still a blast to ride. It feels like a sport bike next to the Ultra LOL.
i just got my 07 deuce this june. 5500 miles, paid $14,000. between then and about a month ago, i put 4,000 miles on it. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! i get people stopping on the way to their car all the time in parking lots to look at it for extended periods of time. i have rinehart's on mine, and it sounds amazing. after a few hundred miles, my *** starts to get a little uncomfortable. but im changing the seat this winter, and ill be ordering my 14" apes shortly. also doing the +2 forward control extensions.
side note, and i cant believe this hasnt been mentioned yet: Get used to seeing "fits all (ex. FXSTD)" because it applies to just about any part besides basic engine parts and controls. you gotta do your research on parts to see if they'll fit. for example, the flush mount gas cap and fuel level indicator isnt listed for deuces. but ive run into people that order them for 08+ rockers and they do indeed fit.
im never getting rid of mine. since 07 was the only year for the 96" motor and 6 speed tranny, it may be a relatively sought after bike some day. buy it, you wont regret it!
i have an 07 deuce , great bike , comfortable and handles good. i did the 180 rear without any mods , looks great. i will do big bore this winter , i will keep this bike forever
i have 07 deuce , love it , i put the 180 tire on it without any mods, will do 103 big bore with head porting and cams over the winter, will keep it forever. goodluck
