I bought my 2000 back in March this year, it is my first Harley, and I too will keep it forever. I bought it from a retired guy that only put 10K miles on it in 11 years. Has the stage 3+ motor kit, with screaming eagle II pipes. This thing screams! I put 118 miles on it today!

Welcome back old thread. I'm still riding my 2000 Deuce. Over 55K total miles. Somewhere along the ride I bumped did the screamin eagle thing which bumped the engine up to about 105 or 110 HP & TQ. I forget. My long term memory must be going. My short term memory says my big jug Deuce with Mikuni Carb is fast, feels raw, totally uncivilized. The style says "today."

My 2008 Road Glide with electronic ignition, Harmon Kardon radio, etc etc, is docile in comparison.

Two very different rides. Both great for what each has as a specialty.

I bought my 01 Deuce new in 2000. Wanted carb bike but FI came in, took it and been freaking happy ever since. Was a Vivid Black with red pin stripes. 3 years ago a custom paint by "Attitude custom paints" in Florida was added. Along with a front fender by Fat Katz. Attitude shaved the tale light on rear fender and I went with a solo seat by C&C custom seats. I Did an engine build 1 1/2 yrs ago. Added a 200 metzler with 60 spoke by Hog pro. Ness 3" foot control ext. And numerous other additions.
