Default Ever get hit by a rock?

I have a 2004 Fatboy and have just over 4000 miles on the bike. I know that this is not much compared to some of you riders. When riding in my car, I have every so often got a big rock thrown up by the car in front dinging my windshield. Just wondering if anyone has ever been hit by a rock or piece of road debris while out riding their bike and what that's like? I've been smacked by a Junebug on the leg and I sure felt it. I can't imagine what it would be like getting nailed by a rock or piece of debris.

I have gotten hit in the head a few times with what felt to be a pretty large rock but, probably smaller than it felt. Left a pretty nice welt on my head, right above my eye, made that eye see a flash, like getting punched.

Had some rocks over the years, but when I was a kid I had something hit and then sting me inside my nose and I could not be stopped and pulled fast enough.. my eyes were water and closed tight by some sort of reaction...pulled off the road and thought I was going down as I lost my sense of balance before I realized what was happening....

Lots of gravel has bounced off my leathers and helmet.
Lucky me, I wear a head shrinking oven (full face)

I had one hit my fingers and put a hole in my glove. Lots on the legs.

It only hurts if you let it. That june bug probably hurt more.

Got hit by rocks twice already this year. 1st in the goggles on the way to Daytona. Result = chipped lense. Second in the cheek a few weeks ago. Result = cut. Got hit by a June bug the other day. Result = hurt more than both rocks and startled the he11 out of me!

HUGE bumble bee....dive bomber... hits me right in the chest, then I look down and he's stinging me on my left arm.

I was only doing about 45, but MAN!

I pulled into a fire station to be checked out....haven't been stung in years....

Like HogBack, I've collided with a bee and had an allergic reaction to the sting (hit me in the forhead). I now carry an epinephrine injector on the bike. I have two or three rock chips in the bug smasher on my '06 Herritage. I usually get rocks thrown my way on the freeway, and when I'm following other vehicles to closely. To resolve the rock issue, When traveling at speed on the freeway, I increase my following distance.
