Default Guys with Samson Fishtails-PLEASE READ!

I bought a set of slighly used Samsons. The seller didn't give me a coil relocation bracket or a shifter rod that are listed on the Samson installation instructions. My question is, Are these parts necessary? They are quite expensive through Samson. I have a billet shift linkage on my bike now. Will I be able to use it? Please help!

if your talking about true dual fishtails then yes they are needed. the coil bracket has a bend to it which allows the pipe to fit through the opening between your motor and bracket. And also the shift rod has a bend to it which fits under your pipe. So yes to both pieces they are needed

Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can find the parts.

On my 2002 all I needed was the bent shifter linkage. I also did not get this with the pipes when I bought them used. No coil relocation necessary on my bike, but I assume yours is different due to the 02 sensor crap. Might want to ask around here and see if anyone has these parts laying around. You never know.

With the Samsons you could get by without the coil relocation bracket, if you did something like relocate the coil behind the horn cover. Of course you'd need to do something with the horn.

The shifter linkage is needed, though.
