Hello.
I'm new to Harley and this forum. I've been just reading a lot of your posts for a bit to get a feel for everyone here, and it looks like a cool group.
I just picked up an 05 Fatboy - standard black. A blank canvas that needs to be customized : )
I'm quickly finding out that there are many options for customizing my Harley other than shopping at the Harley site - lots of other great providers for accessories....
I was hoping that some of you might be willing to post links to your favorite brands & places to get wheels, exhaust, and accessories.
The big challenge for me is that I'm in Alaska - there's not a lot of stores here, so shipping is going to be a killer. Also - I'm new to Harley, so I don't know who the best aftermarket outfits are.
I'd be wary of Parts Direct. They charged me for something they had on back order and it took nearly 6 months of threats, coercion, and the card company to get it straightened out. They were totally uncooperative, insulting, and called me a liar over the phone.
Anybody can make a mistake. It's what you do to correct it that determines your character. They have none.

Well, that was your experience. Obviously I didn't have bad luck with them or I wouldn't have mentioned them.
