I also use a "Cramp Buster" on my throttle. Once you get used to using these.....it's hard to go without it.

Try moving your handlebars forward/up, this worked for me.

As others said your grip is too tight. let go a little bit and you will find your comfort zone.

Ya might have problems in your neck with a pinched nerve. Do you get pain and then you get cracking or popping sounds when you roll your head from side to side?

I just got one (throttle rocker), which is the same thing, I assume?? I did a 2 hour steady ride to try it out and I must say it does work. A very cheap fix. It's quite easy to get use to, but I can see how it could be dangerous, if your not careful. I'd much rather use this then the clamp on cruise control.

When I bought my bike it had really big grips which were too big for my hands. A friend gave me a pair of stock grips that came off his bike. I tired these for size and immediately noticed that my fingers went numb (from vibration). The larger grips where really good quality ones and had a lot of rubber insulation inside. So I will be putting the big ones back on. This most likely will help yur problem as well.

Default Evaluate your gloves too...

I've had a similar problem on long mileage days, but in my case I finally decided that it was the gloves.

Two possible glove problems -
a) You have gloves with too smooth of a palm side which don't stick to your grips very well, thus causing you to grip too hard, or
b) You might have some cheap glove that have a seam at the base of the fingers and when your hand is wrapped around a grip, the seam creates quite an internal rib inside the glove and cuts your circulation off.

I've had various gloves fall into both categories. Check yours out. Might be time for a new pair...

One other possible thing... I had similar hand cramps with grips that were too thin. I got larger diameter ones that allowed my hand surface to rest on more fully without a tight grip, and that helped.

cheers -

My wife's Heritage is horrible after 30 minutes for me. I think it is her handlebar position. Maybe try adjusting that a bit or get a different set.

Get apes!
