I never had any problem with the stock gap and actually I liked the way it gave an old school look to the rearend... I went with the Heartland kit not to do away with the gap but to make a pro-street bike.. Now that the motor is done and all mods are finished, that's what I ended up with.. I used the Rocker as a platform to make the bike I always wanted to do.. When I get a good day I'll take a some good pics and let ya'll see what I ended up with.. It's a little different than the pics I've posted in the past.. Not a lot but enough..
I still look at a stock Rocker and think "Man I like that"..
speedsnice, I recently put the Arnott Air Suspension on my Rocker. The ride is amazing. I have the Legend Air Suspension on my FXST, but I really think the Rocker with the Arnott has a better ride. I have the Heartland kit on order. My hope is to get the rear fender very close to the rear tire without sacrificing too much ride comfort. Currently, I can lower the air suspension so that when I put my weight on the bike, it lowers to the max and I still get a good ride.
I am really thinking about ordering the kit, I have to see what is the best price I find for the Arnott kit.
I guess I am still chasing the gap. I have Progressive 420 shocks now with the regular softail bump stop and my new seat. The bike is set up to have the swing arm line up with the frame which has brought back the gap. No preload on the shocks. Plenty of movement for the suspension now and it rides great. A little too much much swing in the swing arm though. The top of the fender kissed the rack today and left a tiny dent (more work for my painter). Damn, dent is a four letter word!!!!!! I think I need to put 1/4 inch steel backer on the bump stop to reduce the travel a little. I think that DawgHamilton posted that idea.

Sorry to hear that Windeed, can you post some pics? I guess I better stick with my stock bumper, its a little less travel, but the wife doesn't seem to mind. Couple of old pics after lowering when I first got the bike. I need to take some new pics. Front reflectors are gone now with a couple of small mods, grips, fork bag, contoured frame inserts, turn signal and headlight visors, etc not much, but I'm as pleased with it as the day I brought it home.

Interesting thread. I just chopped the rear and front (aftermarket front). Im going to go raise the rear fender at it mounting point thus closing the gap between the fender and wheel and giving it that true hard tail look.. I didnt realize how much wider it is then the tire creating a very noticable gap on the sides.. I will be going with LED lights mounted under the fender... Back to research...
How do you like your VH 2:1 pipe? I've been thinking that one or the VH 2:2.
I love it, a lot of folks like the performance they gain, wasn't my goal. I just liked the look of the curve of the pipe, following the lines of the frame. I did however have a considerable gain on the dyno. Went from 62hp to 75hp with 96lbs of torque. Sounds nice, but would prefer it obnoxiously loud. lol Oh yeah, I don't know what Harley did different with the 96b, but the dyno man said it would shut down on the dyno at 150 mph like all the Harley's he's tuned. Mine was his first Rocker. He freaked out when it didn't, and got it in 6th gear and let off at 168mph and not even redlined. He was impressed, but being that, that is the only time my bike will see that kinda of speed, it matters none. Just thought I'd share that for the sake of future conversations piece.
