I'd really like to stay out of this but I cant resist! Dump him as a mate, or swap bikes. Then YOU can look as good as we do, and he can spend hours and hours and hours polishing! Ride a legend, not a mobile mirror monument! Hahahahah seriously, because I know sweet fanny adams about parts, I think you should do what you want to, cos as long as its on some kind of Harley, you know it makes sense! Or chop yours in and get one yourself, so when your mate chromes his up, you can show him the error of his ways.
Whatever you do, do it safe, and ignore whatever I say. Im just waiting for my potatoes to cook.
Best Regards
Wade!
The whole thing makes no sense. If you buy an NT, you're getting it because it's darker and blacker than your average chromed-out Harley. If you want chrome, get a Standard.

umm they quit making the standard, AND it's another 3k for the Softail Custom around here. I'm just playing devils advocate
