Does anyone know if the Batwing from Memphis Shades require me to relocate my front turn signals, or have a light-bar? Their website does not even come close to answering any of my questions. It's a pretty poor website actually...... Thanks, JR
Yes you need to relocate the T/S they will be covered by the Fairing. It will probably fit with out moving them but they will not be seen from the front.
No you dont need to have Aux Lights (spots) , just be sure you have the mounting kit for using memphis Fats or Memphis Slims windshields without the Aux Light Bar.
If you are having buffeting problems be sure you order the 9" windshield or you wont be happy. The fairing cuts all wind to the body, but the height of the windshield is what blocks the wind to the head.
I have the 5 " shield and it works great for me up to about 65 mph over that I find the 9" cuts all wind for me. I use the Fairing and 9 " shield in windy conditions and for my commute to work 130 miles R/T on freeways at 75 +, I also use a MS Del Rio Sport shield for around town shorter rides in bad weather.
The nice part is on and off with either the fairing or windshield in a minute , so I can cruise without a shield when I want too.
I think the mirrors would work . My mirrors are above the fairing and can be seen from the front.
Posted speed limit in my area is 65 or 75 mph, actual speed limit on most of the fwy in my area is more like 75 - 90 except during rush hours I seem to spend most of my fwy time at speeds of 75 +
The Memphis Shades website isnt that good but give them a call customer service is very helpfull and easy to get in touch with.
Haha, I was kidding about the speed limit. Every time I'm in the USA, all I have ever seen is 55mph on the highways..... Thanks for checking the mirror clearance....
Recommend you get the lowers at the same time...saves on shipping. Pretty cold up north, and the lowers for the batwing will help a lot. Believe they run around $35.
